New York – September 2, 2015 – Announced today, Alex Kingston returns to reclaim her role as Professor River Song for the highly anticipated 2015 Doctor Who Christmas special, premiering on Christmas Day on BBC AMERICA.

It’s Christmas Day in the future and the TARDIS is parked on a snowy village street, covered in icicles, awaiting its next adventure. Time traveller River Song meets her husband’s new incarnation, in the form of Peter Capaldi, for the first time this Christmas.

Tonight, as part of WGN’s new “Prime Crime” lineup, the network starts airing back-to-back episodes of the hit CBS series Person of Interest as part of its binge-worthy 100 episode event. The series, along with Elementary and Blue Bloods, will give fans the opportunity to watch their favorite series from the beginning.

Yesterday, star Michael Emerson and executive producer/writer Greg Plageman talked to the media about the event.

First, the two talked to SciFi Vision about whether or not they would be satisfied with the story if next season is the last. According to Plageman, “I don’t know if I speak for Michael in that regard, but as a writer here from the very beginning with [Johnathan], one thing we felt very adamant about was that we would be able to tell a complete story on the show.

“This has always been a show where, you know, every season finale felt like it could have been a series finale. And this year will be no different.”

Emerson agreed, “I feel the same way. I feel like we kind of wrap things up every season. And so I think we’ll kind of continue in that same vein, maybe with a hint more finale feeling. But at the same time, I think probably the writers are going to leave it a little bit ambiguous, because we don’t know if it’s the end of POI as we know it or not. So we kind of have to juggle that.”

SYFY ORDERS SECOND SEASON OF DARK MATTER FROM PRODIGY PICTURES

The series, produced by Prodigy Pictures, follows six people who wake up on a derelict spaceship with no memories of who they are or how they got on board, averaged 1.8 million viewers in its first season on Syfy.*

NEW YORK – September 1, 2015 – Syfy announced today that the acclaimed series Killjoys has been renewed for a second 10-episode season, scheduled to air in 2016. From Temple Street Productions (Orphan Black) and Michelle Lovretta, the creator of Lost Girl, Killjoys averaged 1.5 million viewers (L3) in its first season. 

Produced in association with Space and distributed worldwide by Universal Cable Productions, Killjoys follows a trio of interplanetary bounty hunters who chase deadly Warrants (fugitives) throughout the Quad, a distant planetary system on the brink of a bloody class war. The series stars Hannah John-Kamen as Dutch, Luke Macfarlane as D’avin and Aaron Ashmore as John.

Season one of Syfy’s space drama, Dark Matter, comes to a close tonight in two back-to-back episodes. In preparation, stars Melissa O’Neil, Alex Mallari, Jr., Jodelle Ferland, and Roger Cross, as well as executive producer Joe Mallozzi, talked to the digital media earlier in the week.

Ferland talked to SciFi Vision about Five’s growth throughout the season. “I loved being able to show the differences in Five’s character throughout the series, because at first, I think people really underestimate her. She is the little one; she looks like she’s just a kid in the group that doesn’t really fit in. It’s very clear that she stands out, you know? I mean, not only does she have the colorful hair and the quirky clothing, but she’s just different.

"She doesn’t seem like the tough crew like everybody else, but throughout the series, you get to see that she has a lot of skills, and she has quite a lot to contribute to the crew that you might not realize she had in the beginning, and she gets much stronger, and she really puts herself out there and shows that she belongs there.”
