Hallmark’s reality competition Finding Mr. Christmas premieres its second season on Monday, spotlighting ten aspiring male actors battling through festive challenges for the chance to become the next face of Hallmark holiday romance. The contestants each take part in both Christmas-inspired tasks and acting challenges, getting to perform alongside well-known Hallmark Christmas movie stars. Hosting the show is Jonathan Bennett, a Hallmark movie star in his own right, while actress and comedian Melissa Peterman serves as the main judge, joined weekly by guest judges. Each week one contestant is eliminated until the final winner earns a leading role in one of Hallmark’s upcoming Countdown to Christmas films.

Recently, Jamie Ruby spoke with Bennett and contestants Robbie Simpson and Angel Garet for TV Meg about how the competition has evolved, the challenges the contestants faced, and more.

The new season premieres October 27th on the Hallmark Channel and is available to stream the next day on Hallmark+.

In the horror film In Our Blood, filmmaker Emily Wyland (Brittany O’Grady) teams up with her boyfriend, cinematographer Danny (E.J. Bonilla), to shoot a documentary about the reunion between her and her estranged mother who she hasn’t seen in a decade. When her mother suddenly goes missing, Emily fears she’s succumbed to her addictions, but the truth may be far more sinister. Emily and Danny must work together to follow the clues to the truth, before it’s too late.

Recently, stars O’Grady and Bonilla, along with Oscar-nominated documentary filmmaker Pedro Kos, spoke with SciFi Vision about working on the film.

The second season of The Couple Next Door follows Charlotte (Annabel Scholey) and Jacob Roberts (Sam Palladio), a married couple and medical professionals living on the same street as the characters viewers met in season one. Charlotte works as a heart surgeon and Jacob is an anesthetist. They appear happy, but their seemingly stable relationship begins to unravel with the arrival of their new colleague, Mia (Aggy K. Adams), a nurse with a troubled past who moves in next store. Mia gradually becomes involved with both Charlotte and Jacob, disrupting their marriage. Charlotte’s ex-partner, Leo (Sendhil Ramamurthy), also returns and stirs past emotions, complicating matters further and causing Jacob to become increasingly desperate to save his marriage. In the season finale, which airs today on Starz, the truth behind Mia’s real identity is revealed, and Jacob’s hidden crimes come to light as he is pushed even closer to the edge.

The third season of Apple TV+’s sci-fi hit Invasion has been a journey and sometimes a slog - literally. Trevante (Shamier Anderson, John Wick 4), Jamila (India Brown, Honey Bunch), Aneesha (Golshifteh Farahani, Paterson) and Mitsuki (Shioli Kitsuna, Deadpool & Wolverine) traveled across the world looking for answers, only to find themselves stranded in the dead zone. In advance of the season’s tenth and final episode, SciFi Vision spoke with Stephen Tracey, the actor who plays Sergeant Reese. As part of Trevante’s WDC unit, Reese has survived a helicopter crash, fought alien hunter-killers, and traded bullets with Infinitas guerillas. Can he survive the mission?

The comedic film Re-Election follows Jimmy Bauer (Adam Saunders), a man who never recovered from losing his senior high school class presidential election to Manish Singh (Rizwan Manji), now the governor of Texas, and the standard by which he measures his own failures. Seeking a chance to reclaim his lost glory, Jimmy returns to his old high school in his forties to run for class president all over again. To navigate this unfamiliar world, he teams up with student Noa Polly (Bex Taylor-Klaus), to help him bridge the generational gap and connect with the other students.

Recently, Manji and Taylor-Klaus, as well as Kim Whitley, who plays the school secretary, Loretta, spoke with SciFi Vision about working on the film, including what advice they would give their high school selves, and much more.

In Hal & Harper, the closeness that two siblings share is both their comfort and their curse. When their father (Mark Ruffalo) announces he and his girlfriend (Betty Gilpin) are having a baby, Hal (Cooper Raiff) and Harper (Lili Reinhart) start to reexamine their past and who they have become as adults. The eight-episode series explores their closeness and codependence and how their bond has shaped who they have become, for better or worse.

Star Saunders, who wrote and directed the film, as well as Tony Danza, who plays Saunder’s father, recently spoke with SciFi Vision about creating the unique film, how the idea came about, what they learned from the experience, the advice they would give their teenage selves, and much more.

Love, Danielle centers on a woman (Devin Sidell) who is confronted with a life-altering decision after learning she carries the BRCA1 gene mutation, which dramatically raises her risk of developing breast and ovarian cancer. As Danielle navigates the emotional challenges of preventative surgery, she and her husband (Michael Roark) struggle with the implications for their future and their dreams of starting a family. Her life is further complicated by her strained relationship with her recovering alcoholic and often emotionally distant mother, Candie, played by Lesley Ann Warren.

The animated Apple TV+ series, The Sisters Grimm, follows two young orphan sisters, Sabrina (Ariel Winter) and Daphne Grimm (Leah Newman), descendants of the legendary Brothers Grimm, as they arrive in the mysterious town of Ferryport Landing to live with their estranged grandmother, Relda (Laraine Newman), after the sudden disappearance of their parents. Here, they are thrust into a fantasy-filled adventure where the sisters discover that fairy tale beings inhabit the enchanted town. Among notable characters in Ferryport Landing is the mayor of the town, Prince Charming, voiced by Abubakar Salim.
